Moved to wordpress and such

The blog continues, but at bajan13k.wordpress.com (not sure if that or the "secure" link is canonical), instead of here.

Google has its tentacles in so many orafaces [1] that it can't do anything right anymore [2], but spy on people (email and such like), so I moved to the obvious wordpress address.

End Notes:

  1. [orifice is the actual word, but I was making a pun, saying that they blatantly, in-you-face, invade privacy and professional workflows.
  2. By "cannot do anything right, anymore",  I was talking about changes to YouTube, and some other problems.

Random Notes and Stuff....

My YouTube channel sort of grew a life of its own, and just as Teddy in Persona 4 grew a person within his hollow shell, the Kentaro personality grew from the (albeit virtual) social network that arose from it.

It was not at all expected, because for one, I didn't think you could meet people through YouTube, and for two, I didn't expect to use it for more than old Street Fighter Alpha 3 videos which I copied from VHS. Somehow, I ended up going as far as doing partial LPs of videos with commentary and/or overlay comments.

That was fun, and although I ran low on time and money, and even willpower, I enjoyed doing it for the time, and enjoyed seeing that people can really have fun on the Internet and talk about a subject they enjoy. Especially Atlus games, apparently!

Well, just wanted to say thanks, although I think people tend to more read my LJ or use actual YouTube to communicate.

I will be likely not making any more videos for the year, but I hope to take up the hobby of doing LPs and other videos in the future. It is fun, and hobbies do not really have to be something you can easily explain.

Also, vichudoll (I keep calling her Vi or just V.) has a youtube channel now, although she seems to be sleeping again, if not altogether net-dead.

As for me and my "social media presence", I will make no real effort to maintain it, for a while. Any messages send to here or the LJ, I will reply to, but overall, I got too many faces and too many places, and if anything, I shall delete some of them.

Thanks again, folks, you made it fun.

Even without the flying.

Drone War

Rather than talk about the real-life use of UAWs or "Drones" in battle, there is a flash game called Drone War that I came across [ linked here ]. It doesn't seem to be in active development anymore, but it is a lot easier to learn that, say, StarCraft : Brood War (or Starcraft 2, I expect, but I haven't played SC2 yet and prob. won't for a few years).

...well, that's all for now...

The screw is back but it still does not work. Darn it.

Yeah, I put the PC back together again.

...but it still doesn't work.

I ran out of time to work on it but I also thought at the time, that it'd be better for me to do something else with my time anyhow, and set up something more modern for video capture....

I might make more random talkies about random stuff, but nothing as time-consuming as LPs for a few years.

Um, yeah, it has been a while...

Due to a misplaced screw, and me not wanting to spend any time on it, I haven't done any more LP-like stuff recently.

In theory I could blame some studies that I'm doing, but, that would be a lie (well, an oversimplification and jumping to blaming externals rather than taking responsibility): I have plenty of time but fill most of it with stuff that is of questionable worth.

So I decided to get over that an recenter my life on stuff more useful. Also, I want to do really well in upcoming exams so in the short term at least, I'll be mostly studying.

For a change of pace, I started actually reading "normal" books. You know, non-technical ones. Although I am not sure how normal my selections actually are, since they include a book on exorcism and another one on developing memory.

Well, during the summer I hope to do something even more studious and make some videos of that. As for LPs.... well, the PS4 might change the face of that with the "share" button and all, there is already a bit of a glut, and I hardly ever play games anymore.

It has been fun, I don't regret it, but I do think I'm diversifying my time investment beyond solo gameplay, which never was my main thing (I was into game parties, you know, when people get together in real life and play games).

Everything has its season, I guess.

Blogspot also sucks, but at least my Words Remain (tm)

I tried to post here from Japan, but Blogspot did not belive that anyone in Japan spoke English. It tried to convince me that, just because I was in Japan, all of a sudden I had forgotten how to speak English and converted to Nipponese / Moonspeak / Nihon--- um, Japanaese.

Well, as much as I like the verbalizable programming language that is Japanese (it isn't really a human language, it's a language of autobots... just think about it a bit whilst I stroke my all-spark forges), I can't claim to be fluent in it, esp. not the "written" (more, drawn) forms.

I hope to be someday soon, and to that end, I even bought some PS2 JP region games (and have to now buy a JP region PS2 console or sth, but that is another story all together).

Well, I have studies to do so longer rants will wait until later.

If you want, you can check out the videos on youtube, or the random stuff on tumblr (yeah, I now spam on tumblr) or the Bajan13K facebook page. None of these things are very active now, because everyone is busy, but hopefully by early next year I'll be actively seeking officers to do kool ish with these social network things.

Meanwhile, I'm just thankful for YouTube for re-categorizing use of copyright material into "copyshite matches" (paraphrased) and "mafia assasination attempts" (or "copyright strikes" if you want the humane sounding version). In these days of great evil, we must be thankful for the tender mercies of the Empire....

You know what I like about Megaten Games? Replay Value! Maybe as much as, or more than, CIV 2 . Now, I have never actually played CIV 2 (how exciting can SimCity type games be, for a person who likes Brood War at Slowest? Or Warcraft 2, just because they have REAL-TIME battles which I prefer in SLOW-TIME...).

Anyways, Enough of THAT.

I am doing new videos, but they are all related to the building of my Walls of Neh., which is not something I fully understand yet MENTALLY, so you might have a while of MORE MADNESS before gaming videos resume.

No Worries, though, my FACEBOOK Page will chronicle the old 400+ videos better for you! I hope....

Office and Studio

My office is named Goshen within Zionic Goshen beyond Go of Go-Shen Corridor Beyond (and within Zion/Salem) Jeru-Salem Shiloh (Shiloh being the Brook of Revelations, where also the Logos is studied in seeking the Rhema) through the Go-Shen Corridor via the Rei-Ki e---e Gate Room. Selah. Simply put, I am the translator for the Sixth and First Churches of Asia, that is, Phil-A-Del-phia (sp?) and Sardis (Abundant Daeth, which was Life, but no longer is). My Office is where I serve my First, Third, Fourth, and Eight Estates, and where I recharge in the Zeroth and Ninth Houses of David. Selah. Now, my Studio is still being built. So, most videos will be of "that" nature: of a man building walls whilst also being at war, that is, Neh. esp. c.f. 4:14. Amen, Selah.

Rough Timetable

I will likely publish several videos in June and July of this year, 2012.

Before that, I will be less likely to publish any videos because I will be focusing on prerequisites to this video-publishing stuff.

However, this may be totally inaccurate.

My Number Was 888

...so, in totally mundane news....

Yesterday, I went to a government office, and had to take a number. The idea being that I would have to wait for it to be called. In actuality, the taking of the number was just a waste of paper, because the guards explained as they saw my puzzlement, I was ushered straight in... the number was already up.

My number was 888, actually, and if you know anything about either Kaballah (actually, I have to check on that) or the Terminator Canon (i.e. the two movies, Terminator and Terminator 2), you know that that is a kick-ass number.

Anyhow, at the time, I hardly noticed... but after getting home, during my cool-down period (outside was bright and hot... mid-day sun in tropical, always-sunny Barbados), I thought about the multitude of adventures that I had, and resolved to blog about, at the very least, that one.

And now... I shall lay me down to bed.

P.S. I finally realized why no-one ever comments on my blogs: I have the comments set to auto-screen, so... it is only by me checking for comments and publishing them that they will ever show up. Well, gives me an excuse to check the blog, I suppose, and prevents spam.

Still Alive, Did Not Revive (Yet?)

I am still alive. (Although rumors have it that I am part vampire... 1/16th, to be exact... hence only 15/16th alive....)

As you can tell by now, I did not actually start making a lot of videos again, back in 2010, when I was thinking of revival.

Instead, I got a full-time "permanent" job which paid more than my occasional full-time data-entry type job... but was also even more consuming.

I still work there, for a few more days, but my physical health got worse in part due to the job, so I decided to resign.

I plan to talk a bit about it, since, you know, talking about yourself is what blogs / vlogs are for, but... after I finish my last two weeks of work and recover enough to concentrate on the level that producing high-quality work requires.

So, hopefully I will post again before another two years go by.

Revival?

Since Google owns YouTube, Blogger, and Google Mail... and has them well integrated, it is a bit easier for me to post here than on LiveJournal or elsewhere.

However, I will likely only use this blog to post information on videos and to promote stuff, if you really want to form a friendship or a casual online acquaintance or something (buddy-ship?), you can reach me easier via PM on YouTube or LiveJournal.

Now that that is out of the way, I have plans that are too big for my current ability, so, I'll be upgrading over the next few months. Hopefully it will take less time than I expect, for me to be making videos with consistent frequency.

Meanwhile, I have just over 400 videos on my youtube account right now. I'd like to talk a bit about the whole YouTube thing... on the one hand, it is a great invention, and it still remains one of the best sites for a combination of posting videos, receiving and moderating feedback, and linking into offsite stuff.

For people who are eligible (I'm not, by nationality), being a youtube partner also brings financial perks... enough that some people can make it into a second or part-time job.

However, for me, it was always a random, "do whatever" thing... but it turns out that my brand of "whatever" was actually above some of the semi-professional stuff out there. This is due to my intense training for world domination self liberation....

The whole "being on YouTube" experience helped to boost my confidence, and also, I learned a lot, not only from my own interaction with visitors to my channel, people who leave comments and send PMs and such, some of whom became good friends, but also, from watching some of the more educational videos on the site.

Jimmyrcom, Keyeske, Bipolar or Waking Up, and others have helped me to develop my thinking process a lot, and inspired me to also think of ways in which I can help others with true edutainment (entertaining education). Sadly, I don't think I'm capable of doing anything close to their high level of education, just yet...

LPers like HCBaily, Valis77, LuccaRPG, and many others have also been an inspiration, esp. as they make me feel more at home. Although they vary in the amount of planning and organization that they use, they all love playing games for the sake of the experience, and that is something that I previously felt alone in.

It seems that as time goes on, the vast difference between people with taste who make conscious choices, and people who do things solely out of peer pressure, common conformance, and so on, becomes more and more clear.

In fact, it is hard not to get caught up in a rush to be just like everyone else.

Despite my focus on the Persona series, I am actually, less interested in gaming and more interested in personal development (back to self liberation again). Society and Economy are both forces that put restrictions on individuals, but even after you overcome some of the external restrictions, the internal ones remain, and can lie dormant, sapping strength and destroying potential for progress, growth, and success.

The Persona series is generally, a more "realistic" series in terms of setting and the challenge faced. There is constant pressure to pay attention to what you want, and how to get it, whilst balancing a myriad of positions within several systems. More realistic than the "save the world" mythos common in the other big two series (Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy).

For example, in Revelations: Persona (aka P1), you have to manage your Spell Card inventory whilst also planning your excursions into battle zones carefully. It can be 3-4 hours between save points, and it really bites to lose all of the work you put in during a random battle, because you weren't properly prepared.

Persona 3 and 4 make "life lessons", i.e. philosophies that can be applied in the real world, much more explicit, with their emphasis on Social Links and their deeper development of even causal NPCs (for example, the shop-keepers who talk about things from their own perspective).

I never played the cellphone game (or games?), and prob. never will, so I can't comment on them... but Persona 2 was basically messed up. Innocent Sin may be the better half of the series, but I haven't played it all yet, only a dozen hours or so... and Eternal Punishment failed to keep my interest, due to its inane Tarot Card system, which is inferior to both Spell Cards/Negotiation and Shuffle Time (although I hate Shuffle Time, the Compendium makes up for it to a degree).

Well, that's all for now. When I have more solid plans, I may announce them.

Overall, though, this will be the year that my awesomeness begins to multiply.

Shifting Over to LiveJournal

I don't plan to post on this blog anymore, check out the one at bajan13k.livejournal.com for now... the reason is fairly simple: I never tried to promote either blog, but, livejournal is a good place to get the types of news and discussions that I am keen on, so, even if both of these blogs are just as ignored, at least that one has other benfits.

There seem to be different ways to cross-link blogs and such, which are great for commercial interests or shallow popularity... but not so much for the type of social links which I enjoy via LJ and YT.

So, feel free to check out the archives and if you leave any messages, I think I'll still get an email... but more recent information will be either on my youtube channel, or more likely, esp. if it is a detailed writeup, on the livejournal blog.

404x1. Fusing Girimehkala - Persona 3 Request - Cross Fusion FTW!

After fusing Black Frost, the request to fuse Girimehkala, which also requires a Cross (4-Way) fusion, opens up... so, I did that, although, it took a bit of effort since I had to first level up and also had to make one of the ingredients (i.e. input personae) via a 3-Way Fusion, and to do that, I first needed to raise enough money to order it from the Compendium.

At this point, I think Black Frost is much more useful, but that's because I hate persona with HP-draining spells, as this one boasts. Perhaps I would have liked it better at a higher level (i.e. if i had the Moon Social Link)....

Persona3 - Fusing Black Frost

Just in case you were wondering how to fuse Black Frost in Persona3.

Madara

This game was released only in Japan, on the Nintendo Family Computer or Famicom, roughly equivalent to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the US. However, it used a special "mapper" and an additional chip not present in the NES, so it took a long time for emulators to be capable of playing it properly.

The translation to English was done by AeonGenesis (AGTP), who I am not affiliated with, but I'll give you a link to their site:

http://agtp.romhack.net/project.php?id=madara - Their Project Page about Madara.

I also did an FAQ for the game, which is still hosted on gamefaqs.com. Read that FAQ for a lot more information about the game. The link is: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/file/579581/46515 (just to make it absolutely obvious).

Sadly, I misplaced my savefiles in a frenzy of data migration, so I haven't beaten the game (yet?)... it is actually rather tedious, even with cheats, so, I don't know when or if I'll finish it.

If you have any questions about the game other than what I already said in the FAQ, then I probably won't be able to answer, since I haven't played it a long time and have no intention to do so, currently.... I hate to leave things unfinished but I have higher priorities.

Full Romaji name: Mouryou Senki Madara

Also know as "Madara 1", since there's a sequel, Madara 2, on the SFC/SNES (translation of which is still in progress, it seems).

On the subjective side, I love the music for this, and the impossible story is nonetheless amusing. It also has dramatic cut scenes! In an 8-bit game!

...and "saving trees", sorta like Revelations:Persona aka "Persona 1".

Two Victories! Ken Dominates Thunder Hawk and Balrog!

I run thru T.Hawk and then Balrog,
playing as Ken.

A little-know fact is that the names of the warriors were, at first, limited to 8 chars for technical reasons.

Or maybe I just made that up.

Anyhow, that's why it's "T. Hawk" and "M. Bison" instead of the full names.

If anyone is actually reading this, leave a comment 'cause I don't think I've ever gotten a diddly squat of feedback on this blog, but I have on the LJ one... but that's how it usually goes.. LJ is a true community, blogspot, err, I dunno, it seems like a place to just post stuff easily but I wonder whether to continue with it.

337 P3 TV SummerTime 13 Re Recruiting

After talking to Shinjiro privately, several times, Akihiko decides to "just do it" and force Shinjiro to join SEES.

Main comes along, but mostly to be silent, as usual.

Game: Persona3
aka P3 aka Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
for Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2)

This occurs on 9 /2 (September 2nd) in the game.
